Sun Flow

Picture
In this class our intention is to follow things that feel like the sun. We practice sun salutations and flow sequences with an emphasis on expansion. This class is not quite power intense, but it is an active class where we move up and down off the mat before settling in for a great cool down and long savasana. This is guided as an all levels class with modification opportunities that will turn the heat up or down.

Katie's Music style: everything goes! It's a safe bet that the playlist will include Trevor Hall, Stevie Nicks, Taylor Swift, Sol Rising, Rob Riccardo, Billy Joel, Michael Franti, Bob Dylan, Salt-N-Pepa, and a lot of independent artists, 90s GOATs, and covers. (Some playlist may be PG-13)

Katlyn's Music style:
Her music choice is usually upbeat and fun, can sometimes be PG-13, but she will also take requests from the crowd!

Sun Flow meets Saturdays at 8:30am with Katie and Sundays at 8:30am with Katlyn.

Star flow

Picture
Connect breath and movement in this dynamic vinyasa flow to release the stress of the day, focus on the present and brighten your evening. Like the night sky, this class may look a bit different each week but will always include flow sequences, balances, core & mat work and plenty of 'sweet' or 'spicy' options to make the class as unique as you are.

All Yogis are welcome. Fun is expected, experience is not.

Music Style: Upbeat, eclectic playlists including blasts from the past and current hits, (think Temptations to Lizzo) that will keep you going on that next chair pose hold. Occasionally PG-13, but not in your face about it.

Hatha

Picture
Hatha means ‘ha’ for sun and ‘tha’ for moon. It’s a unique balance of heat (masculine aspects) and cool (feminine aspects.) By uniting these aspects within ourselves, we balance our polar energies, through yoga poses (held for 5-8 yogic breaths), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation.

This class is ideal for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced students. Whether you’re new to yoga, recovering from an injury/surgery, or need stretching to counterbalance your fitness routine, this approach offers many benefits. Specific cues in proper placement, alignment, breath and intention are expressed with each asana (yoga pose.) It’s an incredible foundation to then expand your styles and practice, as desired. Yoga etiquette, terminology, and a basic yogic comprehension is taught here to enhance understanding, minimize injuries, and create a safe and loving atmosphere. Many advanced students appreciate the class to re-learn and/or to adjust from an unhealthy alignment that has perpetuated over time.

Props like blocks, blankets, and straps are highly encouraged and demonstrated during classes.

Music Style: Restorative / calm music, usually without lyrics

Hatha meets Wednesdays at 10am.

Slow Flow

Picture
Slow flow is an unhurried class ideal for beginners to advanced yogis. We will focus our time improving flexibility and relaxation with some opportunities to take strengthening poses, all while connecting to our breath. Modifications for individuals are always welcomed and encouraged! The intention of every class is for each student to accomplish the class feeling joyful, relaxed and empowered!

Music Style:
The music style for this class has a general feel good tone that connects to the class theme each day. You can expect a wide variety of genres including, but not limited to instrumental, indie/alternative, country, soft rock, and oldies. (Some playlists may be PG-13.)

Slow Flow meets every other Tuesday at 9am.

Moon Flow and let Go

Picture
The best of everything in one hour! Inspired by yoga teacher Aditi Shah, half the class we bring We will bring the heat into our bodies with shorter flow sequence, and then we’re going to settle in to a chill and relaxed last half of the class in restorative postures (think long supported stretches) and a long savasana.

This is an all levels class - modifications are offered and celebrated and liberally applied this this class. Props like blocks, blankets, straps, and bolsters are highly encouraged and demonstrated during classes.

Music style: all styles playlists with a more mellow and relaxed vibe.

This class meets Wednesdays at 5:30pm.
